Dear presenters and participants,
Please read the three documents below before the roundtable Mitigating
Impacts of HIV/AIDS in Agric and Rural Development.
We are asking presenters and any participants with case studies to present
information following the systematic analysis outlined in the example. This will facilitate comparison among cases. You may have ideas for improvements or changes, or other ways to set up systematic comparative analysis – these would be highly welcome.
-
Process guide
outline of proposed process for the workshop, including guiding questions
for the thematic working groups
-
Mitigating impact: journalistic version
Two-page case study of a household participating in an agric project. The
info available only presents the case through implementation; no
information on actual impact is available yet.
-
Mitigating impact: systematic analytical document
A two-page example (with some fictional details to fill in gaps) of the
above project. This could be used as follow-up for professionals, as a
leaflet, or in workshop situations. This is the proposed format to guide
presentations and working group analysis.
The final two documents with examples could serve different target
Audiences. It probably would be good for managers and staff of implementing agencies to get both. The story version is an easy to understand starting point, focusing on an individual case study. For programme staff, this could then be followed up by deeper analysis of how the project was designed, process undertaken, and strengths / weaknesses.
