5. Conclusion
 
This paper has look at the basic requirements for reducing poverty in the energy sector. The paper calls for comprehensive and well-articulated energy poverty framework to identify goals, strategies, policies and programmes to reduce poverty using the energy sector as a focal point. The paper has assesses briefly the link between social service provision and its impact on poverty and called for specific strategies to be employed targeting small business development and rural poor woman as the base.
