Seminar speaker: Dr. John O. Oucho
|

|
Dr. John O. Oucho holds a Ph.D.in Geography of the University with a specailisation in Population Geography, received in 1982. Currently he is Professor of Population Studies in the Department of Population Studies, University of Botswana (UB) where he has been teaching and researching since May 1996. Before joining UB, he was Professor of Population Studies and Director of Population Studies and Research Institute, University of Nairobi. He is a well-published scholar in the field of migration (both international and internationa) in relationship with development. His latest book, Undercurrents of Ethnic Conflict in Kenya, published by Brill Academic Publishers,is due to roll off the press next month. Prof. Oucho is committed to migration and development in research in two closely related Eastern and Southern African sub-regions.
