First Progress Report on Tanzania without Poverty

Preface
The PRSP is a work in process. The first Progress Report
is a result of consultation with all key stakeholders. This
confirms the intention of the government "to continue to
seek fuller representation of the poor and other stakeholders
in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the
poverty reduction strategy, and in subsequent revisions of
the PRSP."
Following the success of the "Tanzania without Poverty"
booklet, the government decided to produce this
plain language guide to the PRSP Progress Report. This
guide remains true to the tone and spirit of the original but
includes cartoons, quotations and explanatory notes to
help facilitate understanding and stimulate dialogue
at different levels of society.
Individuals or groups that want to respond to the ideas in
this guide should pass their comments to the organizations
listed on the back cover.
